Day-by-Day Itinerary – Rongai 6 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi / Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, transfer to hotel in Moshi. Meet your guides and porters, review your trekking equipment, and attend an orientation briefing covering route overview, safety, and acclimatization tips. Overnight at hotel to rest before trekking.

Day 2: Rongai Gate → Simba Camp (Approx. 10 km, 4–5 hours)

Start the trek from Rongai Gate through the lush forest and farmlands. Enjoy the first panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s northern slopes. Gentle ascent to Simba Camp, set up tents, have dinner, and rest for acclimatization.

Day 3: Simba Camp → Second Camp (Approx. 8–10 km, 4–5 hours)

Climb gradually through alpine moorland with spectacular vistas. Observe unique flora, giant groundsels, and highland vegetation. Reach the second camp in the afternoon, rest, hydrate, and take short acclimatization walks around the camp area to help your body adjust to higher altitude.
